Curriculum
Educational Excellence at Every Age Kids R Kids Infant Toddler Classrooms These classrooms provide a nurturing environment that encourages our learners to develop their skills in exploration of the world around them. Our teachers provide hands-on learning experiences for each domain: - Listening and Talking – Books and pictures conversation
- Physical Development – Large and small muscles
- Creative Activities – Art, Blocks, Dramatic Play, and Music
- Learning from the World – Nature, numbers, shapes, size, color, senses
In these environments, you will find quality care focused on the individual needs of your child. You’ll notice the discussions around the theme and “word of the week.” The experiences the teachers provide are a benefit to the social and emotional connections of your child, as well as cognitive and physical growth. Sign Language for One and Two Year Old Our teachers are encouraging language development by expressing words of actions and objects in two ways. When a word is spoken, such as “milk,” the teacher uses the sign language with the verbal expression and the action of giving the milk. Through association and repetition, the infants and toddlers are able to imitate and communicate with their hands as early as eight months. New signs are introduced each month. This allows the child to be empowered with the ability to clearly express their needs. Private PreSchool Our Kids R Kids Preschool Curriculum is focused on providing rich experiences for the individual child. With all of our children, we provide activities to ‘make their little world into a big world.’ They need opportunities to explore and make connections about the world around them. Then, take their knowledge and grow to the next skill. The children are also working towards potty training success in these rooms. You’ll see more language opportunities, along with physical experiences to develop fine and gross motor. Here are some specific skills that are opportunities to learn. Each child works and grows at their own pace, thus there is not a requirement of these skills. We do feel that children can be ready for new challenges in these academic areas and we have found much success.
